 Agenda:

RantWoman woke up earlier than intended. At least this meant there was time for RantWoman's resistance band leg exercises.

(Debate about jacket. Decide No because weather is supposed to be warm later.)

Breakfast: out of house because of schedule and no prepared oatmeal servings.

Simplest option: McDonalds. Walking route sidewalks are clear. There appear to be lots of cars where people are probably sleeping but the sidewalk is entirely passable--UNTIL RantWoman encountered several people panhandling. RantWoman was not up to buying breakfast for anyone but herself but RantWoman got one person $1 closer to a meal.

New likely breakfast fave: two sausage burritos, no meal just the burritos, and oatmeal.

Great bus moment: people just hanging out at the bus stop. Lots of people with lots of #bikeshare vehicles. RantWoman wanted to stay upwind of any cigarette or other fumes but did not really care about sitting down. The thing about sitting down: it's hard to get back up. RantWoman needs to work on some core exercises to overcome that but RantWoman might still not want to sit down. 

A metro employee who happened by was worried that RantWoman might want to sit down and told those assembled there was an "old lady" waiting for the bus. An "OLD LADY?" WTF?  (Um, earth to RantWoman...)

RantWoman has in fact picked up RantMom's old habit of pacing and various kinds of leg exercises while waiting for buses. Knees don't seem to like just standing for long periods of time and RantWoman is in favor of all the "keep things moving" advice coming along the pike.

Bus to 2 line

Uneventful.

2 line to in-person meeting at Bellevue City Hall.

Oh the elevator panels. 

Guess about sitting toward the back of the train,closer to where RantWoman will need to go when she gets off.

Train is not as scenic as the bus even though it's basically the same ride. 

RantWoman trusts the floating bridge engineering completely, but it seemed like the train had slighly more wobble than RantWoman remembers on the bus.

It took RantWoman a little bit of thought to guess about the right direction to Bellevue City Hall. RantWoman got there fine but made a mental not of TWO reflecting pools, one on either side of the walkway. Definitely pay attention to surfaces. Also a mom headed to the same meeting said her two kids always wanted to play in the water.

2 line back home to Judkins Park station

Uneventful.

Before Little Sister fled the construction environent at the station, RantWoman used to walk basically the distance home from the station. Today it was hot and RantWoman felt achy so wait for the bus and do more leg motion exercises while waiting for the bus. RantWoman aspires to get back to just walking from the 2 line station.

Gorgeous day. Air had a slight taste of smoke but the weather app said the aqi was just a hair above 50.

Bus back home.

Home just in time for afternoon commitment!
