Memo to self: MUST get hearing tested before Medicare stops paying for hearing aids.
RantWoman knows one ear works A LOT better than the other.
RantWoman has great difficulty hearing people across the room and does much better up close enough for her better ear to catch sound.
RantWoman has real problems at in-person meetings when other people can barely use microphones well enough for RantWoman to be heard.
With virtual or hybrid meetings, RantWoman a lot of the time uses automated captioning. This is visually exhausting; RantWoman tends to enlarge the fonts but that also impinges on RantWoman's already limited ability to interact with faces.
Also note to self: a friend GAVE RantWoman a pair of air pods. Between figuring out how to use them and seeing what other amplification apps are out there, there should be OPTIONS. Stay tuned.
